lesson learned?

Sir — This refers to the report, “Kejriwal, Sisodia go on ‘sorry’ spree” (March 20). The headline of the report captures the shamelessness and thick-headedness of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia for publicly apologising to political leaders, namely, Nitin Gadkari and Kapil Sibal and his son Amit Sibal for their defamatory allegations.

Earlier, Kejriwal apologised to Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia for a similar guilt. Umpteen defamatory cases are still pending against Kejriwal, including one by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. In the three cases mentioned above, Kejriwal had to file affidavits in courts regretting his “unfounded and unverifiable allegations”. Will Kejriwal, with his known tendency to resort to falsehood to malign his opponents, start to a new chapter of dignity, propriety and truthfulness expected from one holding a Constitutional office of Chief MinisterIJ
