Sir — This refers to the editorial, “In violence they believe” (August 1). The symptoms of the leftists’ violence are universally known. They want to suppress the voice of opponents through dubious means and their propaganda rests on twisted facts and even on falsehood.
Whether it was communism in Russia, Nazism in Germany, Fascism in Italy — all believed in one dictum — speak a lie hundred times to make it appear true.
leftist intellectuals are no exceptions to this mindset. It may be recalled that when the left regime came into vogue in Kerala, they adopted the same tactics against the Congress and for which President’s rule had to be imposed.
This time, the left has picked up people from the the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh/Bharatiya Janata Party to target.
Hence, there is a genuine case for imposition of President’s rule in the State. Similar shocking conditions prevailed in West Bengal some years back.
