This refers to the article, “BJP making Congress mistakes” (November 20) by Ramakrishnan TS. I disagree with the author’s view that the BJP is making Congress’s mistakes. While the Congress has always been supportive of its base leaders, the BJP is depending more on the central leadership than its State leaders.
This is why the minorities will never vote for the BJP. So, the party might well concentrate on consolidating the Hindu vote. Unfortunately, there is no progress on giving Hindus parity in running educational institutions and their temples.
