last laugh

Sir — This refers to news reports that the Congress has referred to Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as stand-up comedian. Calling a stalwart and a nationalist a stand-up comedian, is being stupid.

The Congress does not realise that the joke is on it. Not only are the people laughing at the party, but also that the BJP and Mr Modi will have the last laugh. The results of the Assembly election and the lok Sabha poll will show the Congress its place.
