Sir — This refers to the article, “Anti-Congressism roots go deep” (August 11) by RK Sinha. It was a misfortune of the country, and the short-sightedness of the Mahatma, that Jawaharlal Nehru was chosen to be the first Prime Minister of India. Nehru was like the last Englishman who ruled India. No Indian would have given up the land that is today called Pakistan-occupied Kashmir without a fight.
