This refers to the editorial, “A massive mandate” (February 11). The days of dramatics for the Aam Aadmi Party are over, and it's time to deliver. The people of Delhi have given Mr Arvind Kejriwal a sweeping victory to work for them. He has the golden opportunity to change the face of Delhi. His focus should lie totally on Delhi. Any move to spread the AAP's wings in other parts of the country can come after a successful completion of five years in Delhi. All promises Mr Kejriwal has made are directly linked to the people's day-to-day hopes and aspirations; he should not disappoint them.
He should know that the team of Ministers he chooses will have a significant bearing on the AAP's performance and character in governance. Mr Kejriwal should get his priorities right. Public memory is short; the people are restless and they expect quick results. The sooner Mr Kejriwal understands this, the better it will be for his future.
