Sir — This refers to the article, “Well-considered action needed” (September 27) by Deepak Sinha. Nothing has changed in the military’s outlook since the Kargil war. The Kargil Review Committee report, which made some recommendations to prevent future recurrence of Kargil-like episodes, met with the same fate as other reports. Men who lost their lives were gallant, but possibly, their commanders and political leaders failed them.
