Sir — This refers to the editorial, “The Congress’s hypocrisy” (November 7). Mr PJ Kurien’s name has been brought in the last paragraph unnecessarily. Three independent investigations, of which two were conducted under the Governments of the lDF, have proved his innocence.
Further, on a private complaint, the Kerala High Court exonerated him, and this has been confirmed by the Supreme Court as well. The Kerala High Court has, in its 72-page judgement said, “I find that the circumstances and evidence produced in the matter do establish that the case foisted against the petitioner is false. It is quite unfortunate that the petitioner had to undergo the trauma of facing such a false case of a scandalous nature, for the last more than one decade.”
