Sir — This refers to the editorial, “‘I, me and mine’ AAP” (March 30). The removal of two of the founder members of Aam Aadmi Party, Mr Prashant Bhushan and Mr Yogendra Yadav, from the party’s Political Affairs Committee and the National Executive, and the sacking of Mr Bhushan as the chief of the party’s National Disciplinary Committee, has made it clear that there is no place in the AAP for dissent.
The AAP, which was born out of the lokpal movement, and Mr Arvind Kejriwal, who resigned as the Chief Minister after his earlier 49-day stint on the issue of lokpal, have thrown out their own internal lokpal, Admiral l Ramdas. Mr Bhushan and Mr Yadav may have faltered in expressing their views outside the party forum while responding to media queries, but they were stressing what the AAP stood for — transparency, probity and democracy in the party’s functioning.
