This refers to the article, “When judicial verdict becomes the problem” (November 3) by Sandhya Jain. The Supreme Court has itself admitted that the collegium system is flawed. One shudders to think of the consequences, if a similar trend is adopted in other matters that will come for consideration before the apex court. It is strange that despite repeated efforts to draw the attention of the court to this anomaly, the court has continued to harp on its ‘supremacy’ in appointments. let us see how the executive and the legislature respond to this overreach.
