It isn't enough to just talk about Balochistan issue

This refers to the article, “Balochistan: Pakistan's dark underbelly”  (August 23) by Sandhya Jain. The writer ought to realise that a few speeches here and there is scarcely going to make a difference to jihadis sitting in the Pakistani Army headquarters.

Having struck while the iron was hot, from the ramparts of the Red Fort on I-Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi should now aggressively target the soft underbelly of Pakistan — and make it hurt 10 times over in international foras. He should use every platform and agency to name and shame Pakistan for its atrocious record in Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

His Government should help our oppressed brethern with moral and material support, and pay back Pakistan in its own coin. Uttering platitudes is one thing, and acting on your resolve is quite another. Modi should ignore the foreign policy doves and follow his gut instinct.
