Sir — This refers to the article, “First, deny the truth. Then, condemn it” (November 6) by Rajesh Singh. It is irresponsible of any political party to seek a ban on poll surveys.
If the opinion polls are wrong, why do parties fear such an exerciseIJ And, if the surveys can influence voters, they cannot be wrong. The Congress and others who are demanding a ban, are striking at the fundamental right to free speech.
