Ms Hema Malini first spoke about ousting the Vrindavan monkeys. Now she says widows from West Bengal and Bihar should leave Vrindavan. It is high time that the BJP reins her in. Her knowledge of Vrindavan, its tradition and history is non-existent. Vrindavan owes its existence to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and six of his Goswami disciples, and Bakhti Vedanta Swami Prabhupada (founder Acharya of Iskcon), who were all from West Bengal.
Ms Hema Malini also reportedly criticised the holding of bank accounts by poor Vrindavan widows. On the one hand, her leader Narendra Modi has ordered opening of millions of bank accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana, and on the other, she finds faults with the Vrindavan widows for possessing bank accounts.
