Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Infrastructural apathy” (October 2). The stampede at Elphinstone Road railway station is a tragedy that is bound to happen again. Punishing the general manager of the railways will only be tokenism. There needs to be a fundamental reorientation of our priorities. Our attention must be on infrastructure development.
