Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Much ado about nothing” (October 27). Playing the national anthem should be a matter of choice rather than compulsion, and the Supreme Court has done well to rectify its earlier order in this regard. Patriotism is a matter of faith rather than law, and it would augur well if the citizens chose to practice it out of genuine goodwill rather than rules of law alone, be it at cinema halls, offices or homes.
