Sir — Rahul Gandhi has not only raised the issue of the over 20-year old political murders, he has also falsely accused the BJP of spreading hate.
But both terrorism in Punjab and the lTTE terror are history. It is vain to expect any forward-looking agenda from the Congress in these elections. The party is on a losing wicket and throwing wide balls. This is the reason why it has resorted to cheap gimmicks and is raising irrelevant issues. Mr Gandhi must understand that both the tragic events took place because the Congress allowed extremist groups flourish for its political gains. They then went out of control.
