Sir — This refers to the article, “InequalityIJ India is far more equal” (February 1) by Navneet Anand. For foreign outfits like Oxfam, it is ‘fashionable’ to highlight India’s poverty — this has been happening since a long time.
However, it is sad that these agencies never discuss their colonial Governments’ role in exploiting rich countries like India, destroying industries for their own benefits.
It is not surprising that the Oxfam report refused to acknowledge our green revolution, the progress the country has made in various fields, including poverty removal. Our economy is among the fastest growing ones globally.
