Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Do hospitals need a ratings agencyIJ” (January 29) by Karan Thakur. It is high time that hospitals are given appropriate ratings, based on their services. Besides, patients must be given an opportunity to rate the hospitals, based on their experience. Manufacturers and marketing companies too need to be rated and these ratings have to be displayed prominently for a common person to understand.
