Sir — It is heartening to note that intrepid IAS officer Ashok Khemka is being considered for a Central deputation. Mr Khemka has been transferred 44 times by the Haryana Government in a span of 21 years, as he stood up to political pressure and refused to break rules in order to please political masters. Generally, the more an officer is transferred the more he/she is likely to be honest and capable.
