Sir — Indian hockey is in a mess again. Coaches are being hired and fired. Since Hockey India was formed in 2009, four foreign coaches have been shown the exit door. The latest casualty is Paul van Ass, who has been sacked just four months into his tenure. Previously, Jose Brasa, Michael Nobbs and Terry Walsh were removed. The performance of the coaches should only be assessed after they have been given enough time to prove themselves.
