Sir — This refers to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s trip to Bangladesh. Most Indians and Bangladeshis will agree that the two nations have come closer after his historic visit. This augurs very well for both countries which can benefit significantly from each other.
One only hopes that the Teesta river water-sharing agreement will also be formalised soon. Once that is done, the last of the more contentious issues will be resolved. This will help both nations jointly focus on economic development.
