Sir — This refers to the report, “Support of hardline cleric lands AAP in soup” (November 6). Mr Arvind Kejriwal and his associates had emerged on the horizon as crusaders against corruption. However, the moment they chose to come directly into the political arena by forming the Aam Aadmi Party, these hopes were belied, and the fear that sooner or later, the political system of the country will suck them into its fold, has come true.
It should be of no surprise that Mr Kejriwal met a controversial Muslim cleric who had offered rewards on the heads of former US President George Bush and writer Taslima Nasreen, and sought his support to get the minority community’s votes.
