This refers to the article, “Defiling India’s inner sanctuary” (March 9) by Anirban Ganguly. I fail to understand why the Union Government is not taking action against the faculty and students of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
There’s no doubt that seminars and discussions are essential for academic excellence, but this should be for the well-being of the nation. Debates and discussions must not transgress limits which becomes fatal and prejudicial to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of our country.
It is also true that the events at Jawaharlal Nehru University campus on February 9 have evoked nationwide resentment since the anti-India slogans has wounded the sentiments of the citizens of this country.
