Headley has key to open Pakistan's Pandora's box

This refers to the editorial, “Seizing the advantage” (December 14). It elaborates the role of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in bringing in David Coleman Headley as a key witness (approver) in the 26/11 terror episode. Headley’s testimony should bring out the full facts about the involvement of Pakistan Army, its intelligence agency and other key players such as Zaki-ur-Rehman lakhvi and Hafiz Saeed. This will open a Pandora's box that Pakistan has been avoiding for many years.

Headley, as an approver, on the assurance of ‘pardon’, will hopefully reveal the full story, right from the conspiracy stage to the extent of involvement of all Pakistani state and non-state actors. This will help India expose Pakistan’s stated aim of bleeding India by a thousand cuts.

The world will come to know how Pakistan is really a wolf in sheep's clothing. This, in turn, will be the real victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts to improve relations with the US and the West.
