Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Right way to score points” (September 11). Tennis ace leander Paes is a champion athlete. To be able to win a Grand Slam at the age of 40, and in a game normally considered as the preserve of the young, Paes’s feat is truly amazing.
But then, the tennis veteran has always been pushing boundaries. His remarkable discipline and commitment to excellence, combined with a burning ambition to succeed, are qualities that define a champion. Truly, Paes is a role model for aspiring sportspersons in India.
