Sir — This refers to the editorial, “To kill a dying airline” (September 16). Mr Praful Patel should have consulted the Patels who have captured more than 64 per cent of the hotel-motel business in the US without indulging in heavy debts, and by ensuring that the businesses they took over were profitable.
On his part, as the former Union Minister for Civil Aviation, the NCP leader had rendered Air India non-profitable, debt-ridden and broke.
