Gross violation

Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Making the enemy pay” (May4). As if Pakistan-sponsored terror acts on Indian soil and the repeated ceasefire violations along the line of Control were not enough, Pakistan has now shown the temerity to commit decapitation of two Indian soldiers, followed by their mutilation that categorically falls under the category of acts of overt provocation and are against all norms of civilisational conduct.

Moreover, Pakistan affecting ignorance about their soldiers’ indulgence in these barbaric acts goes down well with none as the blood trail of the Indian martyred soldiers leading to Pakistan’s side flies in the face of their flimsy claim.

Contrarily, India has sent back 50 Pakistan school children visiting India the same day on a student exchange programme in view of the escalating tension between the two neighbours. Outlandishly, the live and let live motto is beyond the Pakistani heads. Hence, India must read its Pakistani counterparts the Riot Act with a befitting retaliation.
