This refers to the article, “Under Kejriwal, Delhi a dysfunctional anarchy” (January 28) by Sandhya Jain. It is not fair to judge the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Government in just a month's time.
Yes, it has been found wanting during the Rail Bhavan protest and some Aam Aadmi Party leaders have made remarks that were uncalled for. But despite that, the Chief Minister has shown the right intent to fulfil his promises. We must give him some more time to settle down and walk the talk. After all, we are ever so willing to give parties such as the Congress a long rope, and we tolerate them even after they blunder on numerous occasions.
Mr Pranab Mukherjee has rightly raised the issue of ‘anarchy', and Mr Kejriwal must learn from the wise words of the President. The AAP must prioritise its areas of focus and make its Ministers accountable. The party must use street protests as the last resort, while governance should be right on top of its agenda.
