Sir — Finally, we saw some good news coming from Delhi. Its air quality has been the best in three years. This indicates that measures taken by concerned authorities and agencies have brought some relief.
However, considering that Delhi is a city with large vehicular density, many more remedial measures should be put into place so as to bring the air quality in the Capital to safer levels. The city needs more trees to absorb pollutants that are emitted into the atmosphere each day.
Public transport buses, that give rise to less pollution, such as electric buses, must be introduced. Delhi needs bio-fuels rather than fossil fuels for the vehicles that run on its roads.
