Sir — This refers to the article, “Modi seizes control of the political discourse” (April 8) by Sandhya Jain. Imagine that in early September 2013, Mr Narendra Modi was not even sure if he would be nominated as the prime ministerial candidate.
From then to now, he has transformed the electoral debate and improved the fortunes of the BJP. Poll surveys then were predicting 130 to 150 seats for the BJP. Now, if they are giving 200-plus, they are termed conservative! The BJP should thank its stars that it chose Mr Modi.
