Sir — This refers to the article, “No hiding from the relationship” (October 2) by Mayuri Mukherjee. The article was impressive and stressed that it is time India openly demonstrated its affiliation with Israel. It is to be remembered that Jerusalem has gone to a great extent to establish good relations with New Delhi, including supporting the Indian forces with defence equipment during the time of war with its neighbours, extending a helpful hand to bring back Indians stuck in Jordan during the first Gulf War, and sending teams to assist us during natural calamities. However, the earlier administration in New Delhi gave Israel unequal treatment.
