While making a clarion call to fellow Americans, to uphold the democratic values that had been the binding force uniting everybody in a plural and racially diverse America, outgoing US President Barack Obama indirectly sent a strong message to his successor, Donald Trump, that undoing what all has been done by him during his presidency, would only disappoint the citizens who have voted him to power.
It is also laudable that Obama expressed his gratitude to Michelle Obama, the First lady, calling her his best friend, and also thanked his children for wearing the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Obama and Michelle must return to the White House in 2021, with Michelle as the US President and Obama as her admirer husband!
