Sir — This refers to the editorial, “The real Sharif, please” (December 13). With the emergence of the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by Mr Narendra Modi, the attitude of the Pakistani established towards India is bound to change.
Mr Modi could follow Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s doctrine of inclusive growth, but by exposing the pseudo-secularists at home. He is a man of steely will-power and determined to protect the national interest. At the same time, Mr Modi will also want Mr Sharif to run his Government peacefully and do business with India in mutual interest.
