Foul games

Sir — Since the declaration of Assembly poll results in Delhi and the surprising success of the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party seem to be in utter shock. The two largest national parties are not ready to accept the verdict of the voters, and are trying different ways to spoil the triumph of the AAP.

As a common citizen of India, I am annoyed by the recent activities of the two big parties, and their moves to destroy the credibility of Mr Kejriwal’s party. Instead of taking lessons from the recent political upset in Delhi, the two parties are trying to show their dominance.

The AAP is gaining popularity for its principled stand on Government formation. Because it does not have a majority, it is seeking a clear commitment on issues from the Congress and the BJP. The latter two should not seek to make Mr Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party the scapegoats. The people can easily see through such moves.
