This refers to the editorial, “Clear OROP confusion” (November 7). Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have succeeded in their efforts to create turmoil in the country at a time when our soldiers are losing their lives every day so as to ensure that we sleep peacefully. For them, the only thing that matters is power.
Alarm bells had started ringing when these two leaders raised doubts about the surgical strikes conducted by our Army across the line of Control last month. Gandhi even brought up the matter of the Seventh Pay Commission in order to provoke the Armed Forces. But public opinion as well as media glare was focussed on Gandhi's ‘khoon ki dalali’ remark.
Only time will tell how much their actions have lowered the morale of our Armed Forces. However, both the leaders must be asked: Are they not helping Pakistan by their actionsIJ And in this process, are they not lowering the preparedness of our Armed ForcesIJ
