Sir — The Government’s scheme of employing retired persons is a good one. It will be especially beneficial in technical, scientific and research fields where experienced personnel are required to train the the next generation.
But retired teachers must not be employed in schools. First, a retired Government school teacher already has a source of income by way of pension. Second, there will be problems in the delegation of power if such persons return to the schools. These ideas are not for countries like India where unemployment and under-employment persist on a big scale.
