Sir — This refers to Union Minister for Defence Manohar Parrikar’s remark that Pakistan must be dealt with firmly, is welcome. And it is not just Mr Parrikar — before him, Mr Arun Jaitley used the right language; and so did Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is important to project a united front on the issue. I also liked the stern statements that Union Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh has given on Pakistan. There is no reason to go soft on Pakistan. It is time we restore decency and self-respect in ourselves as a nation, at least for the sake of our brave soldiers.
