Sir — This refers to the article, “Nehruvians discredited modern India’s builder” (October 28) by A Surya Prakash. Jawaharlal Nehru, the ‘democrat’, could not accept the votes of the Pradesh Congress Committees that were stacked against him. Most State panels had voted in favour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. But Mahatma Gandhi intervened and Nehru was chosen.
What a fake democrat Nehru turned out to be for not accepting his unacceptability, and what a mockery of the democratic process by the Father of the Nation himself!
