This refers to the article, “Khaas aadmis prop up the Aam Aadmi Party” (March 25) by Sandhya Jain. The revelations should open the eyes of decision-makers in India. Not only is it necessary to quickly and fully investigate the foreign funding of Mr Arvind Kejriwal, Mr Manish Sisodia and Mr Yogendra Yadav, but it is also time that the Union Government completely prohibits a foreign entity from giving any kind of award, title and recognition to Indian citizens for their work in India, particularly in the socio-economic field.
An exception needs to be only made for academic scholarships or the Nobel Prize; if they are from any foreign organisation other than an academic institution, prior approval of the Government must be obtained by the potential recipient. This may look stringent. But the snoopers and subversionists in the West adopt a variety of routes to disturb the stability of societies in developing countries like India.
