Sir — It’s good to note that the Delhi lieutenant Governor has issued an appeal to the Muslim community, to not create chaos while observing the sacred night of Shab-e-Barat where families pray and think of their departed family members. I think ours is the only country where the dead are remembered by zooming around in bikes, creating mayhem on the roads. The appeal should be taken in the right spirit. As a matter of fact, the lG should show similar courage when Bajrang Dal members take out bike rallies on Hanuman Jayanti and many other occasions.
The dead and god can always be remembered at home and the appeal of head of the State should not be confined to a particular community.
