This refers to the editorial, “Azadi from Amnesty” (August 17). Hardly had the JNU episode been closed, the Amnesty International (AI) fiasco has taken place to defame India and its Government.
AI says that the Indian Government, through its military, is torturing ‘innocent’ Kashmiris. It is not understood as to how these persons can be called ‘innocent’ as they are stone pelters who have caused severe injuries to those in uniform.
The editorial has rightly said that if AI has to vent its ire against someone, it should aim at the Pakistani Government which is fomenting trouble in the valley by instigating Indian youths.
Bangalore police may also be praised for bringing sedition charges against the AI. After all it is not an easy task to fight the internal enemy that is hidden among us.
