Sir — With the Cauvery water dispute evading a solution even after the intervention of the judiciary, it is clear that the dispute will linger on and will provide a permanent stick for the Opposition of respective States of the day to beat the ruling parties both at the Centre and the States. Endless bandhs, fasts and the like will be the order of the day.
In order to wriggle out of the situation, the concerned States and the Centre must jointly put a proposal wherein they can request the ‘water experts’ of various States other than the southern States, to come out with workable and implementable solution to the issue and acceptable suggestion should get rewarded.
Besides this, the best way out of this impasse is to invoke the divine intervention. The leaders of the disputed State should congregate at the banks of river Cauvery and pray for a workable solution. Sincere prayers do not go unrewarded/unanswered. When there is no solution possible with men and women around for a dispute, the best thing is that we leave it to god for an equitable resolution. And, it does pay if we totally surrender and repose faith in god.
