Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Ugly heads of militancy” (July 12). It is sad that Jammu & Kashmir continues to be on the boil after the death of a terrorist in an encounter. More than 30 people have lost lives in police firing. The situation in Jammu & Kashmir is volatile. We have already seen youths in action. They are instigated by foreign hands. However, young ones should not fall a prey to such forces. The Government must see that atrocities by the security personnels does not harm the common man.
