Sir — There can be no second opinion that MK Stalin, who has been crowned as the working president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), deserved this elevation. The political path he has tread through in the past four decades has not been rosy but stressful. However, whatever position he has held, whether as the Mayor of Madras or as the Deputy Chief Minister of the State, he has delivered results.
We have seen him blossom into a well-matured person, both personally as well as politically. No doubt, the training he has received under the guardianship of DMK chief and father M Karunanidhi will help him execute higher responsibilities with ease. We have to wait and watch how he is going to fill the vacuum prevailing in Tamil Nadu’s politics after the demise of J Jayalalithaa.
