Sir — This refers to the editorial, “More Ministers needed” (September 5). Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, by undertaking a ministerial expansion, have paved the way for internal party affair and party-based political system rather than a black-mailing alliance system. Top leadership of the BJP should now plan strategy for the 2019 lok Sabha election in a manner that its allies may better join the BJP.
The same holds true for the Opposition, where all the constituent may rally behind a leader to contest as a single strong party. Congress president Sonia Gandhi should rise above dynastic politics and make someone acceptable amongst masses as her heir to the party presidentship.
