Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Saharanpur clampdown” (May 26). Uttar Pradesh is known for incidents of violence. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken some quick and appreciable measures to stop brutality in this case.
There is a need to destroy the root cause of these atrocities; lack of education. Education leads to awareness amongst the higher castes of the legitimacy of the lower caste people. So, it is high time that special attention be paid to education in Uttar Pradesh under the ‘Sabka saath, sabka vikas’ slogan.
