Sir — This refers to the editorial. “School-burning terror” (November 3). The increasing number of schools being burnt in Kashmir goes on to show that unrest and violence in the valley has affected young minds the most. Thousands of young protesters took part in protests, while hundreds of them have either been arrested or have sustained injuries in clashes with security forces.
Education is the foundation of tomorrow’s wealth and prosperity of a nation. By denying or maiming education to our future generation, we are hindering the community’s wellbeing.
It is an attack on the future of children and the culprits must be identified and punished. People must be part of the civil society. They must isolate the extremists to ensure that they don’t throw the future of young ones in the flames.
