This refers to the editorial, “Poll panel is prejudiced” (May 9). I do not agree with your view point that the Election Commission is prejudiced. Rather it looks like the BJP challenged and protested against the Election Commission to garner more support at the last round of voting. The BJP is already running a very successful campaign and thanks to the anti-Congress and pro-Modi wave it is not an election forthe BJP to lose.Thus, the party should not have resorted to such tactics.
The Election Commission should be applauded for their efforts in ensuring smooth election, this time, with almost no hassles at all. It is indeed a herculean task to conduct free and fare election in a large country like India. By alleging that the EC has collided with the Congress and is biased towards the BJP would be complete unfair to the independent body.
