Sir — This refers to the article, “Value education is good education” (April 4) by Meeta W Sengupta. Our education system is vast and widely spread, but it lacks in dynamics. It has not undergone changes to keep pace with advancements in society. Value education has been given shoddy treatment.
Students have to face the hurdles of competitive exams to gain entrance to good institutions. The pattern of school education today is more inclined towards competition.
