Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Four more years” (December 28). Whatever the Western media may say, Russian President Vladimir Putin is hugely popular in his country. He is a dynamic, tough and decisive leader, possibly the best option for Russia. The West is more interested in a weak Russia or ideally its dismemberment.
